I was born in Athens in 1977. I spent most of my childhood in a small park in Pagrati, sitting on a bench with my grandma, observing the world pass by. This led me to start taking pictures. I came to London in 1999, where I continued observing and taking pictures. I did not spend much time in London parks because I found them scary.
I am a photographer, artist and senior lecturer in photography at Kingston School of Art (Kingston University). My work explores notions of migration and identity through the investigation of personal spaces and individual experiences, often through the process of collaboration. My work has been published and exhibited nationally and internationally and my editorial photography has been published in various UK and European magazines and publications.
More and more, I remind myself of my grandma.
